The Merchant's Point of View
We put the merchant first and look at the business of receiving payments through their eyes. Merchants want a clean explanation of how their fees are structured, and they want a fair price. They want to give their clients as many payment options as possible. We offer efficient, flexible and cost effective processing solutions for the established merchant who is in this for the long haul. All merchants come on board with a thorough education on rate structure. We also show merchants how to process efficiently to avoid downgraded transactions. This is the next level. Thank you for visiting.

Durbin amendment affects Debit card costs
by Kelly E. Nelson
The Durbin amendment to the Frank/Dodd bill "The Wall Street Bill" affects debit card pricing to all merchants nationwide. The bill was specifically designed to put money back into the merchants' pockets, but all the bill did was lower the debit card cost to the provider, many of which are not "passing it through" to the merchant. Retail merchants should be paying 1.51% less for a regulated debit transaction than a credit transaction. (1.75% less in CNP or E-Commerce environments) No PIN pad required!

Padded Surcharges = Hidden Fees
by Kelly E. Nelson
Less than 25% of a merchant’s transactions typically come through at the "base rate". It is all about the pricing on the other 75%, the “surcharged card types”. (Rewards Cards, Commercial, Key Entered, etc) A merchant is either getting these surcharged cards “at cost” or they have hidden fees. No middle ground here, the surcharges are either being padded or they aren’t. The question is “how much are the surcharged cards being padded”? This is remedied with Interchange Plus pricing, meaning that surcharged card types are "passed through" at cost. "Pass Through" eliminates hidden fees.
